Educators Oppose Cuts to Student Aid

admin | Monday, April 10, 2017

More than 550 organizations representing  students, educators, advocates, consumers, institutions, and employers recently sent a letter to members of Congress asking them to oppose any attempt to cut or reallocate funds away from federal student aid programs.

The National Council for Community and Education Partnerships (NCCEP), the organization that offers Career & College Clubs, signed the letter.

A White House budget document that proposed to cut or eliminate funding for Pell Grants, Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (SEOG), Federal Work Study (FWS), TRIO, and GEAR UP prompted the letter.
